Sundown Family Dental at Innisfail is owned by dentist Dr Harpreet Kaur who has been practising dentistry for over 10 years, having moved to sunny Queensland from Melbourne.
She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and welcomes clients of all age groups, including those with special needs.
One of Dr Harpreet’s particular skills is to try and help anxious patients feel more at ease.
It is understandable that some people get nervous about visiting the dentist, there is no need to be nervous at Sundown Family Dental as Dr Harpreet is gentle, caring and patient.
Of course prevention is better than cure, but when treatment is a must, she aims for minimal intervention and a gentle approach. Also, Dr Harpreet likes to discuss the possible treatment options and costs with clients, so they are well informed before commencing treatment.
Dr Harpreet continues to develop her dentistry skills and has attended several specialist dental courses. This keeps her knowledge up to date and helps her provide the best possible service to the community.
She was selected as one of only four candidates from hundreds of applicants to be part of the highly regarded International Dental Graduates Program run by Dental Health Services Victoria.
The program brought opportunities to work in the public sector at Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne, followed by placements with the Barwon Health Community Clinic, Geelong and then Maryborough District Health Services, country Victoria.
Her personal interests include reading, making sketches, travelling and enjoying quality time with her family.
